PUMA X HAN

PUMA X HAN

Simplicity and functionality are cornerstones of Scandinavian design, and Han Kjøbenhavn takes them to an extraordinary place. Founding partners Jannik Davidsen and Tim Hancock innovate with classic vintage workwear and a fondness for their stomping ground of Copenhagen, Denmark. For this collection, they channeled their upbringing, local sports, and suburban architecture for inspiration. Their goal was to surprise. Apparel uses unexpected material mixes such as rayon, jersey, and twill. Footwear serves up bright muted colors that are simultaneously fresh and nostalgic. Finally, light, checkered wool pays homage to the iconic trench coats worn at their local football stadium.

Despite the long sleeve tee being a basic essential in every wardrobe, it takes real design talent to create a humble T-shirt which stands out from the crowd. With its luxuriously soft piqué quality and random logo placement, Han Kjøbenhavn has succeeded in producing a core piece as surprising in its detail as it is timeless.

The New Adidas DEERUPT

The New Adidas DEERUPT, Disruptively Simple.

Launch Date: 22/03

The Deerupt is adidas Originals’ latest sneaker silhouette, and a new lifestyle option that is being freshly introduced this year.

The name is a rough portmanteau of disrupt and erupt, but the design itself takes mainly from vintage running styles, more specifically the adidas Marathon. adidas invited us into their infamous archive for a hands-on experience, where we looked at the real inspiration behind the brand’s contemporary approach to design, and spoke with the designers of the Deerupt.

The brand’s namesake, Adolf “Adi” Dassler,” passed away in 1978, and the Marathon trainer is actually one of the last shoes that Adi himself was involved in developing. The shoe came to market one year later, in 1979, featuring a signature mesh support structure on the midsole, which was intended to achieve uniform compression and rebound and inspired the creation of the new Deerupt.

FENTY PUMA by Rihanna

Rihanna returns as creative director for the latest FENTY PUMA by Rihanna collection.

Beachy and badass, it’s a vibrant, unexpected mashup of high fashion, extreme sport, and beachwear. Masculine motocross gear meets laced-up lingerie. Sporty silhouettes collide with sexy, skintight swimwear.

And summer vibes are in full effect with bold branding, daredevil detailing, and splashes of neon.

It’s a collection that’s born to ride – and ready to make waves.

Puma x Shantell Martin

Puma links up with internationally- acclaimed British-born and New York-based visual artist, Shantell Martin to release the Puma x Shantell Martin Collection.

Martin is known for her stream-of-consciousness drawings and light projections. She combines the whimsical and autobiographical, bridging the gap between fine art, performance art, and everyday life. That said, the Puma x Shantell Martin Collection is heavily influenced by her style. Premium materials, crisp monochromatic looks, and intricate details can be spotted on all the pieces from the collection.

Shantell Martin said: “I had a lot of fun collaborating with PUMA on our new collection for Spring Summer ‘18. It was cool being able to apply my artistic DNA to iconic PUMA silhouettes, but what I particularly loved about the project was hiding little messages throughout the product offering to make something truly unique.”

The Puma x Shantell Martin Leadcat is customizable with four detachable leather straps, each with its own unique graphic.
